Nandini, delves into the rich tapestry of themes that reflect the intricate interplay of humans and trees. Drawing inspiration from the banyan tree, she creates a narrative for us to celebrate its resilience and growth and internalize the spirit of the trees into how we live our lives.
Her observations of nature led her to notice how a Lotus blooms out from murky waters, a lesson from nature on how one can bloom amidst struggle and towards personal growth and success, and hence her paintings depict the Lotus embodying the transformative power of perseverance and dedication. With the use of human forms intertwined like branches, the use of red as a vibrant hue to symbolize struggle, and other such inferences and themes, she sets the tone for the viewer to revisit the deeper lessons and memories they summon.
Within the intricate layers of her paintings, she depicts human forms in trees and seeks to illuminate the untold stories and unspoken emotions that define our vulnerable existence, the faint memories, the weight of circumstances, and the entanglement of responsibilities for the viewer as a poignant reminder to confront reality, triumph over the darker struggles of life, and emerge stronger with courage and empathy.
Nandini has had 2 solo art exhibitions in Goa and participated in 45 group art exhibitions in national art galleries across India, namely, The Bombay Art Society, Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation, Indian Academy of Fine Arts Amritsar, and Goa State Art Foundation.
